Welcome to F.A.M.E – Friends of Africa Missionary Endeavour

Fame is an Independent Evangelical Mission founded in 1996 by Alan and Irene Dunlop. (Northern Ireland.)

Fame Mission utilises the privation and poverty found in all developing countries to evangelistic ends. In Kenya, water wells, medical clinic, orphanage work and famine relief comprise the main areas of this service.

These things are not only vital to community support in and of themselves, but in providing them the mission is enabled to reach thousands with the message of Christ and Gods Redeeming Love.

We have an all African staff in our Orphanage and clinic which allows our missionary to actively pursue Evangelism in Schools, Churches, Markets and Saturday night video outreach in remote bush areas.

Directors of FAME are volunteers meaning that 90% of all the funds given are spent in Kenya helping the people they were given to help.

Helping those in need through:

Medical Aid

Medical Aid

In our clinic we can treat 95% of all who come to us. Those beyond our capacity to assist are very often referred to Kijabe Mission Hospital, (Rift Valley) or a local hospital depending on the nature of the illness. We have a fund whereby we assist such people to recieve whatever treatment they require.
Child Rescue

Child Rescue

Our orphanage at present cares for the total needs of around 175 children. Many of these are Aids Orphans, i.e. children orphaned through their parents dying from Aids. Many of these children themselves suffer from the Disease and we care for them also.
Evangelism

Evangelism

Evangelism remains our priority and is followed rigorously in the immediate area and further afield as opportunity arises. The above programme is most successful and there is no shortage of interested listeners.
Famine Relief

Famine Relief

Our clinic provides food at all times for the aged and infirm, those in particular who have no means of support. In times of drought the community are assisted. In the drought of 2010 a special famine appeal enabled our Missionary Rodney Davidson, to provide weekly food for approx; 4,000 of the poorest people from August through to January 2011. Seed was also given them to enable them to plant when the rains came.

Lamentations Ch 2. v19

Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children; that faint for hunger in the top of every street.
