From Our Postbag

Mervyn and Valerie Steenson had a very successful teacher training seminar in December. The pastor's letter, (below) refers to the children's day which followed, when Mervyn spoke on Naaman and his leprosy to over 1,000 children. The Pastors reference to that occasion is eloquent testimony to the success of the meeting and to the impression it made.

Pastor's Letter

Dec 21st 2003

Dear the Dunlops,

Our lifes battles continues but our chief captain is marching forward and we are together victors. The years are waging war over our bodies, but the Lord renews, strengthens our hearts everyday glory to him always.

A job well done and faithfully done awaits for God's time to give those beautiful crowns. Over 1,000 children will remember Naaman and his Leprosy their own sins, Christ the only cure. Over 2,000 will enjoy good food for Christmas at their churches. What else - The Angels are watching.

Mama Irene, hearing problem you have; you are not alone, Jacob limped in his late life. Paul had thorn in the flesh (probably eyesight), in Christ defects are nothing, we rejoice that in Heaven there will never be such things, and are going there soon. While on earth contentment is the greatest gain. We love you our mother and friend.

On your way to Kisumu we wish you, ALL THE BEST - MERRY CHRISTMAS, GOOD HEALTH AND A HAPPY BUSY NEW YEAR 2004.

Letter from David Matiti (Manager)

Thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endures for ever:

Dear my friend in Jesus name Mr Allan Dunlop, I am so glad to have such opportunity in this New Year to open my inmost heart with over flowing thanks to my Lord and you as His servant.

My Lord heard my cry and comforted me through you my friend for He is good and His mercy endures for ever. I was living in a poor life until January 1999 when He uplifted me to you when you gave me a work, a digging a well. He touched your soul, you loved me as you love yourself, you became my helper and my comforter, for His mercy endures for ever.

After finishing the well you promoted me to a compound manager in 2000, my first and biggest promotion in my life. I have been rejoicing in this work for four good years in my Lords favour. Bwana, even if I try to list the marvellous works that you did for me is more than what I can remember.

Oh! my dear friend, may the Lord almighty bless you with your family and the fellow friends from U.K. whom Lord touched their soul to support the Lords marvellous work in Ukambani, Mwingi, and also comfort you in the problems you often face like mums hearing. May the Lords mercy abound with you for ever!

I also thank you on behalf of Kyanzendu Mali, and Kyuunduani church for remembering them at Christmas time. They had goat and a bag of rice which they gladly enjoyed together with a sincere fellowship and God blessed us together. We are much grateful appreciating your Christmas gift. Our Lord God has chosen the right man in honour of His name. The right servant who can stand for the Lord only and comfort the Lords people. May the Lords grace be with you for ever more.

Yours most helpful servant by Lords mercy through you.
